How to Set Smart Traffic Rules for Dynamic Page Variants
Smart Traffic Rules allow you to control which visitors see which variant of a Dynamic Page.
You can route traffic based on devices, keywords, campaigns, locations, and more.
This is useful for:
• Personalization
• Geo-based routing
• Device-specific experiences
• Campaign and keyword matching
• Advanced traffic control
Step 1: Open Your Dynamic Page

This opens the page overview.
Step 2: Open the Variants Section
Inside the Dynamic Page:

How Smart Traffic Routing Works
When a visitor lands on a Dynamic Page, Superfunnel checks the Smart Traffic rules of each variant and decides which version to show.
The routing logic works in this order:
1) If a Variant Matches the Rules → Show That Variant
If a visitor matches the rules of a variant, they will be routed to that variant.
Example:
• Visitor is on Mobile
• Variant A targets Mobile devices
→ Visitor sees Variant A
2) If No Variant Matches → Use the Default Variant
If no rules match, Superfunnel will route traffic to a default variant.
The default variant is simply a variant without any Smart Traffic rules.
Best practice:
Always keep one variant without rules to act as the fallback experience.
This ensures every visitor sees a controlled version of the page.
3) If No Variant Matches AND No Default Exists → Random Variant
If:
• No variant rules match
AND
• There is no variant without rules
Superfunnel will automatically send the visitor to a random variant.
This prevents traffic from being lost but is not recommended for production funnels.
Recommended Setup
For best results:
• Create targeted variants with Smart Traffic rules
• Keep one “default” variant without rules
• Use the rule-based variants for personalization and testing
This guarantees predictable traffic routing and consistent user experience
